Tonight at The Gallerist, the opening of a photographic exhibition by Loeum Lorn.  “Loeum Lorn uses ice as a canvas, highlights its patterns with colors, and surrenders to its texture, its rhythms, its flow. By dropping color on the ice, he observes their encounter and offers us moments through his photos: shapes arise, disappear, transform, in a perpetual flow. Lorn then highlights the law of impermanence and the laws of nature that govern everyone.”  From 6 pm.

Air Gallery at Factory Phnom Penh
Sa Sa Art Projects presents Quest, an exhibition by Battambang artist Chea Sereyroth.  “Having learned the traditional Romjek mat weaving method – a slowly disappearing practice – and produced during the last two years of the COVID-19 pandemic, Sereyroth introduces 33 mats with acrylic, sawdust, mud, and soil, narrating stories of evictions, migrations, food security, and spirituality. Quest testifies to Sereyroth’s commitment to a locally conscious practice and amplification of voices of the vulnerable populations.” Until 28 May.
