Java Independence hosts Invisible Conversations, installation and images by Kong Vollak. “As an artist and a teacher, Vollak’s artistic impulse often coincides with an educational tendency. […] Through a collaborative project Jorng Jam (2014 – 2015) Vollak took the opportunity to interview his own family, collect their stories and to develop a deeper understanding of their experiences through his artistic work. This led to two ongoing bodies of work, one with salvaged photographs and another with clay figures, that explore memory, loss and resilience.”

The Traditional Dance Show, presented by Cambodian Living Arts, takes place at the National Museum stage. The hour-long performance showcases classical and folk dances from across Cambodia, including the famous Apsara. Every night Monday-Saturday (October-April) and every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday (May to September).
