On Wednesday 31, Cloud presents an exhibition by self-taught painter Chan Ravy, Imagination Art. “Ravy is a dreamer, he loves to get lost in thought when he looks at a landscape. That’s why most of his painting seem to come out of a dream.”   Starts at 7 pm, runs to September 19.

On Thursday 1, 6 pm – 8 pm, TINI (#57, St 450, Toul Tom Poung) hosts the launch of Kismuth Books’ new publication, Breakfast in Cambodia, by Dipika Kholi, the first in a series of books entitled The Village Report, “which chronicles the true story of abandoning a way of life and a set of ideals for ‘how things should be done’.” The launch will include games and a reading.

This week Cambodian Living Arts presents Jolana Jongjam II (Movement Memory 2), a four-day youth-oriented festival of contemporary dance. “The theme ‘Movement Memories’ invites the performers to use movement to explore memories, and the idea of memory itself.”  On Thursday 1 (American University of Phnom Penh) and Friday 2 (Pannasastra University of Cambodia), New Cambodian Artists will perform Bach/Tango, and Growing Up In Public, while Epic Arts will perform Krama, and Come Back Brighter. Then on Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 at 7 pm at the National Museum, New Cambodian Artists present their newest work, Dance to the Moon, “A dreamlike show about memories of the future past.”
