At the French Institute, New Works by Thang Sothea. “Thang Sothea reveals through a careful set up made from traditional materials – such as hemp, wood, stones and palm leaves – forms that bring us back to a child’s imagination (kites, garlands, abacus), in which the relationship between volume and space is explored, highlighting Sothea’s first interest and field of study: architecture. At Meta House, an exhibition, Humans of Cambodia, a project inspired by Humans of New York, a photoblog and book by Brandon Stanton that collects stories of New Yorkers and others from all over the world. The photographs and stories in this exhibit were captured by six Liger Leadership Academy students, ages 11 to 13, in Phnom Penh.

SaSaBassac presents a new solo exhibition by Tith Kanitha, Instinct. The exhibition “brings together sixteen steel wire sculptures of varying sizes and distinctive, biomorphic forms. The artist has playfully staged them as characters throughout the exhibition space in both conventional and surprising ways – they hang, drape and dangle at different levels from the ceiling and walls, and rest on or slightly off open-ended pedestals.”

The Traditional Dance Show, presented by Cambodian Living Arts, takes place at the National Museum stage. The hour-long performance showcases classical and folk dances from across Cambodia, including the famous Apsara.
