Every October, artists all over the world take on the Inktober drawing challenge by doing one ink drawing a day the entire month. Neverland Artspace will be hosting events for Inktober in Phnom Penh, including weekly Drink and Draw, weekly Sketch Circle, and an exhibition that will open November 1. There is an open call for submissions for the exhibition – closing date 31 October. Check it all out at Inktober Cambodia.

On Thursday 5, from 6 pm, Vetika Brovoat Selapak (Art History Forum) presents an art talk, Architecture and Ways of Living in Villa Houses and the Urban Development of Phnom Penh During the 1960s by Loeung Sakona. The lecture will focus on “villa houses in the Boeung Keng Kang I neighborhood, an area which has the more examples of this kind of modern architecture than any other district in Phnom Penh.” Note this event is in Khmer only.

Java Independence hosts Invisible Conversations, installation and images by Kong Vollak. “As an artist and a teacher, Vollak’s artistic impulse often coincides with an educational tendency.
