Also on Thursday 17, from 6.30 pm, Java Café Independence Monument presents Body of Work, featuring fashion portraiture by Alan James Flux, “a selection of images and sketches that characterize the artistic intent behind the works and how they challenge the aesthetic traditions of the fashion industry.” Until 30 April.

Also on Thursday 17, at 7 pm, Meta House hosts an artist talk with German artist Alfred Banze, for the finissage of his exhibition The Public Is Private, The Private Is Public. Mr. Banze will present a selection of his projects between art and cultural education that he has created over the past 10 years in Berlin and worldwide.

Coming up at the end of May, Kampot Arts and Music Association is preparing “a Feastival of trash culture, garage rock’n’roll, hot’n’spicy food, wild and crazy B-grade horror movies (especially vintage Khmer ghost movies) and more than just a bit of burlesque boogaloo.” A general call for volunteers, interested performers and venues is being sent out.
