Casting minds back to 2013, Kumnooh readers may recall the WASH collaboration, a Phnom Penh-based blending of poetry, electronic music and visual art. WASH alumni have not been resting – hard on the heels of Invisible Agent Records’ recently releasedAudio Mainline’s EP Soma comes Adrift, a new long playing electronic album by Ebauche, recorded in Cambodia, Ireland and Poland, with artwork by Adriana Snochowska. And when you read “electronic music”… well, it’s probably not what you think: “Lush drones underpin layers of intricate details, a minutiae of sonic touches which rise to the surface and drift away again, moving the listener through the soundscape in an almost hypnotic way.” Oh, and keep your eyes peeled for moreWASH activity in the coming months.
