Opening on 16 January, 6 pm at Meta House is Footprints, an exhibition of photographs by Roberto Crucitti with an accompanying story created by Kimly Vat. “Roberto has had many international exhibitions and has lived in several countries including Cambodia, Singapore and China. To add a Khmer perspective, we invite Kimly to come and create a uniquely personal story with his images. I believe this story although authentically Khmer, it relates to most people in one way or another. Her words take us through the footprints of her life.”

On Thurday 18, 6 pm, Plantation presents a photographic exhibition, African Mosaic: a journey into spiritual landscapes and sacred traditions. ““African Mosaic explores a mosaic of ceremonies and rituals in four African countries, capturing significant moments of spirituality and cultural importance. From the mystical wrestling rituals in the Democratic Republic of Congo to the influence of Voodoo in West Africa which transcends beliefs, becoming a complete way of life that connects the living with the dead. The exhibition offers a glimpse into unique ceremonies, scarification practices, and the symbolism behind ceremonial masks. Khmer Architecture Tours conducts Sunday architecture tours in Phnom Penh to promote the understanding of modern architecture in Cambodia, focusing on buildings erected after independence in 1953, described as ‘New Khmer Architecture’, while setting these in the historical context of Phnom Penh. First Sunday of the month at 6 pm at Noisy Chilli Taphouse, Comedy in Cambodia presents Sunday Comedown open mic.
Kumnooh was originally established in May 2013 as a sister publication to LengPleng.com, the online music magazine for Cambodia, to provide basically a gig guide for the wider arts, covering art galleries, literature, dance, cinema, photography and now comedy.
